I know I'm not the only one that meets superficial and shallow people all the time.
Superficial- Concerned with or comprehending only what is apparent or obvious
Shallow- Lacking depth of intellect, emotion, or knowledge
Now, I don't want to sound sexist, but most guys are superficial and shallow. If there is a girl that's interested in him and she's not perfectly built, he doesn't give her the time of day. Girls are like that too. What I don't understand is why someone wants to jump that fast and judge another person. I don't get it. Stop me when I'm wrong by saying that people shouldn't judge ANYONE by the way they look but by the way they present and carry themselves.
I've come across many people that are superficial and shallow. I just don't get it. My friends have been hurt by those kind of people, I have been hurt and I'm sure some of you have been hurt as well. Will someone please explain to me, and most of the world, why you judge someone by the way they look. This should be interesting. Why to people think it's okay to jump to conclusions about you before they even get to know you?
I know parents don't teach their kids to be like that. They had to have learned it from somewhere. I, myself, am not superficial. I don't judge someone by their looks, only by personality. I don't see how the way someone looks should really affect the communication you have with them. It's senseless and pointless and just flat out retarded. |
