June 12: Burlington Iowa
The concert was set to start at 7 P.M. but it didn't..It started to rain...how lovely. Considering the large amount of electrical equipment and due to the fact that Aaron was almost electricuted because of the rain getting on the electrical equipment it was delayed and hour and a half until it stopped raining. Damn rain. The band came out and started playing...then Alex ran out and snag his heart out. Unfortunately it started to rain again so they could only play 6 songs...so the concert lasted a half hour. Short but sweet is the saying. They did all they could to make up for the delay and the short concert, by playing to the maximum aptitude. Alex caused a but of a riot in the crowd because he came down to the crowd sending fans flying toward him and practically tramplaling many fans and myself. Sean himself caused many fans to scream on the top of their lungs by removing his shirt during the last song. Alex apologized many times for the delay and the short concert. He told the fan that we were a great bunch and to fans for sticking it out here in the rain for so long.
My experience was much more fulfilling.
After the concert I was waiting for my mom by the gate while my friends went to get food. Some gurls were near by yelling for Aaron to come over and sign autographs, after 10 minutes of yelling at him...he came over. After he signed their cd's and stuff I touched his arm so he would see me, and he recognzed me as the gurl who blew him the kiss...I was astonished he remembered I did that. He told me it was sweet and kissed my hand and also gave me a hug, and I kissed his cheek. He said bye and left. After about 5 mins my mom came and got my friends to come backstage out of the rain(not to meet the band) and I saw Aaron again he smiled and then headed for the bus. Not 10 minutes later, Billy came out of the port(he had taken a shower there) in just his boxers...wow and then he went for the bus.
Out of the whole concert...I got smiled and waved at by Billy, Aaron and Sean during the concert
I caught Alex's guitar pick
I saw Sean shirtless
I saw Billy in just his boxers
I saw Alex and Sean's whitey tighty's
and I met Aaron Kamin of The Calling
You cna not tell me that, that was not the best night ever. Not just seeing everything I saw or meeting Aaron, but the concert it self was well worth the wait I recommend you see The Calling in concert!! |
