First, I'm not entirely certain what you were stabbing at Water-Mage. All I could deduct from your rant was that you were against people acting out of their culture, and that's tentative.

Anyhow. I felt that I had some points to bring up about said article.

I have to agree, people talking, acting, and being something that they know nothing about tends to bother me as well. However, by stereotyping a culture and restricting it only to the people which grew up in that environment is just a fair bit small minded, don't you think? If that were the way things worked, then one that grew up in said ghetto would be forever restrained to it, rather than bettering oneself and becoming all that a person could be.

To be just, when eliminating all wiggers (for lack of better words) and such wannabe's, you would have to also eliminate all negroes and latinos that are of ghetto origin from the so called upper class since they would then too be out of their genre, and that, my dear, would prove to be more than a tad prejudiced. But I digress.

By "Ghetto as in flashy cars" are you of the assumption that living in the ghetto means that you would have a flashy car, because if that's so then you are sadly mistaken. Get off your leather sofa and out of your daddy's house and visit the ghetto and then tell me how many flashy cars you see. If you see any honey, you aren't in the ghetto yet.

"*Note- I do not approve of the "language" called ebonics. I feel as though it is a slap in the face for those of use who do not associate our selves with that kind of society."

What exactly do you mean "that kind of society"? Are you a white supremacist nazi? Do you feel that you are better than all the lower class citizens? Do you think that because one lives in a ghetto that makes them a worthless being? Are you of the opinion that use of a different style of language is unacceptable?

I have lived both above and below the poverty line, and thus far those that I have met below have been far more virtuous, hard-working, and all around respectful people.

"If a person wants to understand a certain culture or way of life, then I feel that you should get to know all of the avenues involved with it. By only taking part of it, you do not receive or understand what it is you are wearing, saying, seeing, tasting...etc" You say this, but you cannot assume that one who wears said baggy pants and long shirts and gaudy chains is trying to put themselves into the role of a lower class citizen, hypocritically. Granted, most that do are wiggers, but with ample right to be so. Perhaps some just like the style, and thus you cannot pass judgement on their dressing habits.

So all in all, don't comment on mixing genres when you have to make a broad generalisation, especially not when everyone has the right of free will. If someone wants to pretend they're frm the ghetto, then so be it. They'll either be happy with who they are, or will embarass themselves. Either way, it's their life and not yours to do whatever they wish, within reason.

If you want to set a non-wigger example, then do so. Just do it quietly and without criticising others unduly.
