So many people refer to good and evil everyday, but does anyone ever stop to think about what they really mean and if they really exist?
Think about it people...where did these two terms come from? Why were they created? Did someone just decide to come up with them one day fer the heck of it to see what would happen in the future?
In my opinion, they do exist, but only b/c people believe in them so wholeheartedly. Even fariy-tales tell of the wars between the brave, good knights, and the dark,evil creatures of the night.
If people didn't want to believe in good and evil, then it most likely wouldn't exist..but this society of ours does believe in it, and we hastily put these labels on people, sometimes just b/c of the way they look. It upsets me to see everyone use these terms even without thinking about it. The theory of good and evil thrive today b/c we have all been so open and free in believing them. Is there a way to prove them? You can't prove air, but it doesn't mean it isn't there...ya ya I've heard that before. But there are some times when things must be proven.
Im no scientist, and i don't usually believe in having to prove things for them to exist. But with this, I feel the need to understand why they would exist, and I haven't found a reason as of yet. I might someday, but until then, I say people are what they choose to be..whether it be good, evil,..or even neither, as i believe i am. |
