Speak
A Mistreated Emotion

Love.. is a word that's definitely been used too much.

What -is- love, in actuality?
It's a phantom of the mind, that plays with our emotions, makes the race of mankind look foolish toward the other races. -Concerning love, how much do we really differ from the birds and the bears that roam this world, just like us?

Like them, we've got the foreplay, we've got the dedication to our partner, and we mate. That's basically what we have been put on this world for.
Then, when going deeper, we realise that we've got a thing called the conscience. But, when it comes to two beautiful people, ripe and mature, meeting eachother, what else is there than the simple rage and lust to follow our ancestor's footsteps and get into bed with eachother?

There are people who honestly, righteously, think they need to save themselves, their highly- thought of virginity, for the 'right' one to come along their path. What if, that right one is slow, and another, a near twin, comes along and steals said waiting person away.

The fact is here, more and more people divorce. They realise they've made a mistake, and seeing the society we live in is now so commonly handling these things, we no longer doubt leaving our husbands and wives. It's not that in earlier days, say like 500 years ago, there weren't half the many couples there are now, that had made a mistake in stepping into the big boat of marriage. But at that time, they either cared too much about religion and tradition, or had children to take care of, together. Nowadays, unfortunately, all seems normal. We marry twice, maybe thrice, and shrug our shoulders helplessly until old age captures us, and we die.

"Carpe diem." Cease the day. That's right, cease the day. But when there are children, who suffer from the daily depression they get in, simply because their parents never really could get along, and release their angers out on their offspring, mankind is truly to put to blame.

We were never put on this world to lust, to be passionate, but to make peace, let our race bloom, so that the youth may build an even better world on the tops of our shoulders. - Sterre Vlamings
