Why There Is No Proof of God's Existence (If He Exists)
Consequences

I was just answering someone's "If you could have any wish granted, what would it be and why?" question. My answer was that I would like to be the Biblical concept of God. Anyway, as I was thinking about how I'd run things if I were God, a thought suddenly hit me -- if I were to do those things, that would prove that I, God, exist. God cannot have that.

A lot of people act "right" because they know that, if He's there, then so is the Heaven that He said we'll go to if we go by His laws. They deny their natural desires soley out of fear, not because they're good people, people who'd be good even if there was no milk and honey in an afterlife for them. On a sidenote, I'm writing this as though God does exist (I'm not saying He doesn't, but I don't believe either way, as I'm Agnostic). Anyway, if God were to prove that He exists, He'd have everyone suddenly bowing down and worshipping Him. People wouldn't follow the free will He instilled in them, they'd forego it and become perfect little followers because they know they'll get something out of it at the end.

Yes, when God created us (according to the Bible) we were created with a free will, to make choices on our own. God wanted/wants us to have a free will. By knowing that God exists, we'd be completely different people, and consider if it's what God wants before we do it. Our free will would become nothing but God's will, and the challenge of life on Earth would be over, as well as the test in faith that He's putting us through by denying us any existence of Him.
