| These are my feelings about the death penalty...I feel that the death penalty is wrong. yes the bible did say an eye for an eye, but the new testament included the ten commandments that God said were the laws that were needed to be abided by. Yes Osama Bin Ladin and Hussein are bad ppl that need to be punished, but we, as human's, have no right to play God. We should not be in control of life or death. If we were to obey by the eye for an eye law, then if someone killed someone and got the death penalty, then the person that pulled the switch to kill the one person who killed someone would have to be killed because he killed the person who killed the other person. The cycle goes on and on....an eye for an eye for an eye for an eye. yes it is sad that there are evil people in this world that kill inocent bystandards, but they will get their turn when they confront God. God will deal with them. When we kill or creat(cloning), we are playing God. God did mention this in the Bible. This world is falling apart because too many people think that they have the power to create and kill. These are God's powers and God's powers only. Most people that kill other people want to go to prison because the prisons are more like Luxury Sweets these days anyway. Timothy McVeigh for example wanted to die. That is why he did what he did. He even got to die how he wanted to die. That is sad. So he was not punished by us humans for anything he did. We did what he wanted us to do. Think about it. Yes I know if death row was outlawed then we would have over population of prisons, but I do believe that is the because of the way society has made itself. We have taken God and this world for granted and now we must live in our own mess. I know the families of those who have been murdered wish nothing more than to see the person who killed their loved one die a most painful death, but just stop and think about how bad of a punishment that they will have when God deals with them. Leave Death and creation in the hands of God...THE ONLY PERSON THAT IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE THAT POWER!!! |
