Yes the Commandments say do not kill, but there are also battles and wars in the Bible. If you are against the death penalty then you are also against the war going on now. David killed Galioth (spelling?). Thats what God wanted him to do. You must think about these things. In the Bible God talks about the last days and such. Wars and evil. After the seven years of tribulation God will come back and kill all that has fallen to the dark and evil ways. So yes there should be a death penalty. And we are not playing God when it comes to the death penalty either. It is in the Bible... think about it.
