| In light of the trial of one of Matthew Shepards murders being put on trial, I feel that I need to speak on the events. It's a horrible tragedy when a human life is brutaly slain because of a choice of lifestyle , but what make is even worse is when the holier than thou institutions of Christianity condone such actions. I am well aware of the fact that not all the Christaian Organizations across the coutry feel the way that this one single church does , but even one churches opinion makes it all the worse. By Christainity saying that god hates faggots and such things , it's there way of saying that it's good to kill others different than you. That it was all right for this poor child ,who happened to be homosexual, to get beaten to death. I find it hard to beleive that any religion that is susposed to be based on love and kindess toward the rest of "God's Children" would condone such actions. It just points out to me the fascism, corruption, and double standards riddled throughout the teachings of Christianity. It sickens me to know that such organiztions exist , and make me glad that I denounced Christianity long ago, because if I were still a Christian , I'd be ashamed to call myself one. |
