Oh Yes, You Are Insignificant

You must excuse me, but when I refer to “people” I really mean “young people, those of us who still may or may not still be living at home.” So to further spread the ridiculously wise words of something to do at 3am, I present to you, my babble.

******************
I ask you this question, my fellow reader, if you were to cease to exist at the end of reading this nonsense, would the world you left be any different at all? I’m not talking about death, because that idea changes things, even if minutely, but it you never were. If you were never pushed out of your mother’s uteri, would anyone actually suffer from it?

We’ve all been raised by parents who convinced us (or at least themselves) that you shall be THE ONE who cures cancer. You will be the next president; you shall be the most talented beautiful perfect child to ever walk the earth. I’m sure some found it crushing when you realized that it would not be so. No presidency for me I’m afraid, I’m rather afraid of politics rather then interested in it (although sadly my mother still has her hopes) Yet this idea of importance starts there, we the children, are unstoppable

I find it hard to believe we all have a little “It’s a wonderful life’ lurking in our blood, yet so many people my age seen to suffer the delusion of their own self worth. That their existence is only justified by claiming they changed the world somehow, that they rather have a reason to exist rather then *just enjoying existence.*

My idea that at this point and time, anything you’re ever done, would have been done by someone else if you just weren’t in their way. This superiority of “I’m special” has cause people to believe they’ll do great things, without actually doing them. I can’t believe some actually go through life thinking that aaaannny minuet now, something grand will happy, and they’ll be recognized for it.

Soon these people reach their 40, realizes they are living in hellvill with three nagging kids and a shrew wife (or to be fair, a lazy beer gurgling husband) and they wonder why the suicide rate rise almost dramatically when people get in their 40’s.

So my bitch is to stop worry about how significant you’ll be in the future, and live now, today, enjoy what you have. Live life as if no one will remember your name five minuets after your gone. Don’t just stand there too embarrassed to ruin your so-called importance, and be free. Wheeee

People try to be so important, when most of the people we remember today, did things purely by accident.
