No, your sister did not let her friend go because she lied, it was because she was gay. No on breaks out a friendship over a lie that can be explained. Also i’m sure if she lied about *anything* else, they would still be friends. I mean, she has a possible good reason to lie. The ignorance of the people is that many don't accept gay people, which I think is sick. How can you judge people just by their sexuality? She lied because telling the truth would probably cause her pain and grief then anything else.
In FACT, you stated it yourself, "we do not believe in being gay." How could she admit to something that you feel is wrong? In fact, why were you even questioning her sexuality enough times that she had to lie about it a lot, is it really any of your concern?
It’s like a Pagan hanging out with a bunch of Christians, claiming the truth would probably terminate more friendships then make them “stronger” because of their honesty. I don’t know about you, but your sister must be one worthless friend to chuck someone because they lied about being gay. Perhaps the girl is better off, associating with scum like your sister probably isn’t a good thing.
