| Same here man...Im on the exact same boat. Alot of people thought I was just extremely shy. I have avoidant and schizoid disorder. Im fighting it though. | |

Doesn't it bother you some times when people who are sort of "middle of the pack" on the outgoing scale refer to themselves as shy? I saw this often back when I was in school. People who weren't necessarily the alpha males or females--but who were nevertheless friends with them--would sometimes call themselves shy. In comparison to the alphas, maybe that would be true. But objectively, not so much. Sorry... I've gone off-topic here. It's interesting what some people consider shy. I think by definition, though, shyness is socially-inhibiting. If one is not socially-inhibited, one is not shy. |
