I know this has nothing to do with BPD or anything but I need to rant. NEED to rant. So, I was brought up by my mother and step-father, who recently stopped speaking to me. I felt like I had no parents anymore. But I'm a grown up and I can take care of myself, I don't need them. I just miss them. But, thats a different story. Last night I went to a club for Halloween. Had only been there enough time to have one drink when I bumped in to my older sister. (My OLDEST sister lives in Philli, was adopted at birth and Ive known her 3 years, but again a different story) My so Sister said to me "I need to have a talk with you" so after a few short minutes of discussing where and when was appropriate for said talk she just blurted it out- "I've been talking to our biological father since June." Now, I haven't seen him in 15 years. I don't remember him, what he looks like or sounds like. Nothing. But the thing is. I'd already known for 3 days because she made the mistake of telling me ex. He told me. So I did some searching and found him on Facebook. So for 3 days I had been trying so hard not to send this guy a message. So when she told me last night it meant I could. I left the club and got home as fast as I could, heart pounding I sent him "Hello. She told me". So its done. I have a dad now. A dad thousands of miles away, I'm in UK, he's in US. This is so hard to process. For years and years I just didn't have a dad. I only had a step-dad. Its so strange. My sister told me lots of things, like how he got in touch with my mother when I was 13 and she never told me! He had another child, a son, and is married. So in 3 years I have suddenly got another sister, another brother and a father! ARGHHHHHHHHHH MY HEAD HURTS!!!!! |

Really synapse? I'm so sure I totally just gave you an in depth description of my family life like! I wish it were that easy! Don't open your mouth about things you nothing about. Moron! Yeah Fatality. I imagine if shes getting on with him ok I will. But I will just see. Thanks x |

Niklared, just try to ignore anything hurtful Synapse says ... he has issues of his own so it's hard for him to be nice. I'm glad you found your biological father! I don't know how this will turn out but it seems like you've been wanting to meet him a long time. I hope you guys all get along. Good luck no matter what happens! |
