| CrazyGuy, most county mental health clinics have drop in groups, which can b really cool. For me I'm "Dual diagnosed" and I get most of my support going to 12 step group meetings. substance abuse made my preexisiting problems way worse then developed into a problem of its own. | |

| In my area they have young peoples 12 step groups that seem to be really popular. What i like about 12 steps groups is that they teach you princibles that if you live by you can't hardly help but to be happy, healthy, productive members of society. They also have lots of activities like dances and picnics, retreats campouts, stuff like that. I think being of service, helping others, when we can, as long as it doesn't hurt us helps too. | |

| I rarely go to a meeting or a function without picling someone up that doesn't drive or doesn't have a car, tahts how we do it. Someone did it for me in times when i did'nt have transpo, so it's my way of giving back. It's the same in most areas. For new people we pass out a phone list, men 4 men, women 4 women and some times I'll be sitting at home in my funk and a newcomer will call and asks me if i'm going to a meeting, when that happens I go and I'm gratful I got the call. | |

| substance abuse will make your paronoia worse as thats wot it sounds like you are suffering with at the moment. Take racyandy advice go on the net and look up some theropy groups in your area. If your parents are with you on this. I'm sure they will help you too. But if they see that you are alrady looking into it they will see how desperate of need you are in and hopefully be with you all the way. wish you luck. keep us updated.xx | |
