I think that I might be borderline. I've been in therapy for almost a year now with the same therapist. She suggested I read the book I hate you, Don't Leave Me. I could have written parts of that book, while other parts aren't me. Help.

hear bear. I know what you mean it seems like part of more are related to BPD which i have been diagnosed with but others are just so not like me. I guess there are all different personality traits that a person has. I havent read this book but if you can relate to parts of it then maybe you do have a personlity disorder. Don't worry though it's not the end of the road and you can get through this i'm sure.xx

i felt the same way the 1st time i read that book! every person w bpd isnt going to have every symptom of the disorder and since there are personal stories in it youre not going to relate to them all. if your therapist suggested it then she probably thinks you could have bpd and wants to see if you feel you could. talk to her about it, obviously, and dont worry! if you do have it once youre diagnosed and she knows how to treat you properly things can get SO much better as long as you really want them to!

Ive read that book sooo many times! It sounds just like me...You should ask your therapist...then youll def know.
