I have experienced mild hallucinations for a long as I can remember. These include quick glimpses in my peripheral vision of things that are not really there, an ability to make objects morph or animate by staring at then for a long period of time, and hearing voices. The auditory hallucinations are very rare, but can be quite disturbing when they occur. Most importantly, I am cognizant of the hallucination and, to my knowledge, have never believed the hallucination to be real. Normal? Or, is there a padded room in my future?

I have the same not full blow voices or imaginary people but mild hallucinations.

I don't think there is the padded room for us because for me it has affected me negatively to the point where I do something drastic yet

Idk, you seem 94.6% like me
- I have chronic auditory hallucinations, they happen way too often, and is pretty scary.
- I have visually hallucinated before, but that rarely happens
- Deep down, i know all of it isn't real, just in my head.

Thanks for the reassurance. I guess I make more of it than I should. It just creeps me out (big time). I have not spoken to anyone about this. Not really in my personality to discuss stuff like this (unless I can hide behind a computer screen). ;-)

I guarantee you that everybody sees weird s--- in their peripheral vision. You cant make out an object clearly when it brushes across the edge of your vision, so if anything you are hallucinating a hallucination man.
Anyone who stares at anything for too long will see the object warped, and everyone has momentary, rare auditory hallucinations for various reasons. Stress, being yelled at by daddy for too long etc.
