If this is not your first visit, welcome back, and I hope you are fitting right in with the 4degreez family. Please allow me to give you a little historical background about myself and this site. It all began in 1998. I was a student of computer engineering at a respected engineering school, and my hobby was creating web sites. In October of '98, I, along with friends I had made on other message board sites, decided to create a new virtual home for ourselves. This new site would become a haven for people of good will and with open minds. By January of '99, this new piece of cyberspace had been given a name: 4degreez.com. Over the years we grew. We enjoyed the good times and weathered through the bad. We've seen many friends come and go, and met many interesting people who have brought unique perspectives to our community. Today, we have hundreds of people signing in each day, posting on the boards, private messaging each other, submitting jokes, and writing reviews. We've come a long way, and I see a bright future ahead of us. 4degreez.com is a non-corporate 'for the people' site, and one of the more successful ones at that. Because of this, you will find here refreshing points of view, vibrant and open discussion, and a satisfying lack of in-your-face pop-up and flash advertisements. The community here exists for its own sake. Let's all do our part to keep it moving forward. I'm glad to have you here at this site. Each member here counts. Each member can make a difference.
